New Year Greetings from the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter

As we ring in the new year, the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter extends warm greetings and heartfelt wishes for a year filled with hope, health, and togetherness. This is a time to reflect on the moments that shaped the past year and to look forward with optimism as we continue to support those impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Alzheimer’s is a challenge faced by millions of individuals and families across the globe. Currently, over 7 million people are living with Alzheimer’s disease in the United States. Here in Illinois, more than 255,600 individuals are living with this disease, and countless caregivers and loved ones dedicate their time and energy to providing care and support.

As we embark on this new year, let us remember the importance of compassion and connection. For those living with Alzheimer’s, small gestures of love and respect can make a world of difference. Whether it’s taking the time to listen, engaging in meaningful activities, or simply offering a reassuring presence, your kindness matters more than you may realize.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to the caregivers who devote themselves to ensuring the well-being of their loved ones. Your strength and resilience inspire us every day. The Alzheimer’s Association is here to support you with resources, education, and a community that understands your journey. From our Helpline, which is available 24/7, to support groups and educational programs, we are committed to standing by your side.

This year, we encourage you to take action in the fight against Alzheimer’s. Whether it’s through raising awareness, advocating for research funding, or participating in events like The Longest Day or Walk to End Alzheimer’s, your involvement has the power to drive meaningful change.

As we step into 2025, let us carry forward a spirit of unity and determination. Together, we can continue to work toward a world without Alzheimer’s. Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

From all of us at the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter, we wish you a happy, healthy, and hopeful new year!
